Board of Directors
Board of Directors, President
Roger is a native of Faulkton and after graduating from SDSU came back to his hometown, became involved with the family business and started raising a family. He and his brother, Doug, are the third generation of the Deiter Bros. farm. As his children grew he became an important part of their world, serving as a 4-H leader, organizing 4-H livestock judging schools, helping with the 4-H Horse program and was annually a key figure in the Faulk County 4-H Achievement Days. For 11 years he helped run the annual Deiter Bros. Bull sale held at their ranch, which gave a big boost to the local economy. Roger was also on the church council as president when Our Savior Lutheran took on the task of building a new church, putting in countless hours with other church members to make their dream become a reality.
Seeing a need for adequate and affordable housing in Faulkton, Roger became involved with the Development Corporation a few years ago and has been at the forefront in finding solutions for the complex issue of housing. Because of this, he became a presenter at meetings, served as a panel member for the SD Housing Development Conference and has traveled to other communities to serve as a "site mentor." He also spearheaded and coordinated a massive property cleanup in Faulkton, using his own equipment to fill in and level the properties.
Roger presently serves at president of the Faulkton Area Economic Development Corporation's Board of Directors and is actively involved in the planning of the new west side housing addition as well as the industrial park on the east side of Faulkton.
