Attaching hydraulic hoses made simple
May 17, 2019
Outback Wraps were born out of Dave Hedt’s frustration from trying to hook up hydraulic hoses correctly. His new invention makes hooking up those hoses on the back of machinery so much easier than what are commonly used (zip ties or ear tags).
The wraps are made from polyethylene and are not susceptible to weather, oil, grease, solvents or dirt. The numbers are lasered on the wraps and will not fade. They are a simple and easy way to identify hydraulic hoses for connection to hydraulic ports on tractors and other equipment, with no tools required. You can easily and quickly change the wraps to suit the operator. There are four ways to tell you which hose is which, as in number, color, letter and length. Hedt started thinking about this early last year. He has been developing and producing the wraps for about a year now, and has over ten dealers, including Homan Ace Hardware, along with two in Australia, Europe and Canada. Sales have been brisk and Hedt is happy with the turnaround. The wraps are cut, packaged and shipped right here in Faulkton. The wraps are patent pending.
