ANNUAL FAULKTON AREA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MEETING
December 1, 2016
By Roger Deiter
Faulkton Area Economic Development Corporation President.
On behalf of the members of the Faulkton Area Economic Development Corporation I would like to remind you of and invite you to attend our annual meeting to be held Saturday evening, Dec. 3 at the Faulkton Community Center.
The Mission Statement of our organization is to “Create, grow and expand opportunities for current and future residents by engaging all of the Faulk County Community.” We obviously cannot accomplish this mission without your input and interaction.
We are completing our first year with a full time employee serving ?as our director. Having Trevor Cramer on staff full time has enabled us to bring some major proj?ects that will greatly impact the ?future of our community life. ?Bids have been awarded for the ?Industrial Park project, bids will? be let on the Westside Addition ?Housing Development in December and work continues on the? Safe Routes to School project that? will replace and install some ?needed sidewalks. As a result of? the progressive nature of our community the construction process of a new jail project and another expansion to the hospital are currently underway.
I am a firm believer that the future of small rural communities hinges on cooperation within the community, the reputation of the community and how others perceive us. I am one who believes we are in good shape on all three. We strongly encourage county residents of all ages to seize this opportunity to share your vision for the future of the Faulk County area.
Join us for a free meal catered by Cheryl’s Catering at 6 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Faulkton Community Center and let your voice be heard.
