Lyric Theatre: Providing Entertainment for 67 Years
June 12, 2017
Going to the movies is a great way to escape from everyday stresses. In small towns, movie theaters also serve a greater purpose. A theater is an important place for the community to gather. Watching a movie is an activity both the young and old can enjoy.
Since Cyril Huss and his brother Leo built it in 1950, the Lyric Theatre has been serving the Faulkton community. The business is still owned by the Huss family and has brought joy to generations of residents.
The Lyric recently upgraded to digital. It has one of the largest screens in South Dakota and a wonderful sound system. This community treasure is open on weekends in May through November.
