Town of Orient Job Announcement: Part-time Permanent Finance Officer. Town of Orient is seeking applicants for an appointed position, or a consultant, or contractual services, under administrative direction of the Town President and Board of Trustees to perform administrative work in planning and direct budget accounting functions.

Responsibilities:
Major responsible duties include preparing and maintaining accounting controlincluding, but not necessarily limited to, ledgers, journaland reporting procedures to meet the requirements of South Dakota Codified Law, SD Department of Legislative Audit and other state and federal agencies, as deemed necessary to accurately record and reveal the financial status of organizational operations; receiving and depositing of money collected for city government; billing of Town provided services; preparing agendas, attending all Town meetings, drafting and publishing Town meeting proceedings; maintenance official city records; and performing related work as necessary and required.
