Parent permission forms for children to ride the transit bus are now available. The form can be downloaded for a paper copy to give to the transit driver.
A reminder that whenever possible PLEASE call 24 hours ahead for pickup. The bus is accepting same day calls at this point in time, but if you do that it may cause a delay because of conflicts with other scheduled riders.
The transit number is 605-228-7938 and the bus runs M-F from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

If you are using the Faulk County Transit Bus, there are a few recommendations for you to follow: If you are scheduled to ride PLEASE notify the drivers if you will NOT be riding. If you need a ride PLEASE call the day before, or if unable to do so PLEASE call AT LEAST one hour before needing that ride. Parents: If your child will not be riding PLEASE let the drivers know. Faulkton’s new transit system has been providing affordable transportation for local residents for over three months now and is proving very popular with local citizens. On August 30, 2019, the city of Faulkton saw the implementation of a new transit system for local residents. The idea for a new transit system was created by the Quality of Life Committee a subcommittee of the Faulkton Economic Development Corporation and has since formed a transit-specific committee called the Faulk County Community Transit Authority. This committee will be in charge of all of the details of the transit system project moving forward.

Following many months of discussion, conducting surveys and plotting strategies, public transportation has arrived in Faulkton. The inaugural ride of Faulk County Community Transit Authority will coincide with the beginning of the new school year next month.
Through a series of community driven meetings, discussions with existing transit providers and state transportation officials, the need for public transit in Faulkton became apparent. Initially the transit will operate only in the city of Faulkton on weekdays from the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The group envisions a countywide service in the not-so-distant future.

Five months have passed since the first rider boarded the Faulk County Community Transit Authority bus in Faulkton. After months of planning, fundraising and anticipation about how the new transit system would fare, the wheels were finally turning.
