After a hiatus of 3 years, the Murder Mystery Theatre is back for several evenings of entertainment in April. An early spring fundraising event for the Faulkton Area Arts Council started back in 2005 when the arts council celebrated its 30 th anniversary. It was an evening with a silent auction, a comedy show, dining and dancing and was big hit with everyone. It was nicknamed by some as the “adult prom.” In 2007 a similar event was held and proved again to be a very successful evening. With something similar not happening in the intervening years, Carrie Deiter brought the idea of a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre to the arts council and in March of 2011 a new tradition was started and became a biennial event until 2020 when everything came to a halt in our world for a couple years. The show must go on, however, and the arts council is happy to bring the Murder Mystery Theatre back to the public this April.
