Faulk County Emergency Management

As the extent of the devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma this summer is still being assessed, many people have emergency preparedness on their minds.
At the local level, Mark Toennies recently took on the role of emergency manager for Faulk County. With help from the South Dakota Office of Emergency, Toennies is tasked with leading the county’s comprehensive emergency management system to protect citizens from natural, manmade or technological disasters.
