Serving the community
December 4, 2017
Lions Club International is the world’s largest service club organization. Its motto is simple: We Serve.
Faulkton is fortunate to have a local chapter of the Lions Club and community-minded folks who volunteer with this wonderful group. The club works on many projects throughout the year that better the community and benefit people in need, including: helping people afford glasses and hearing aids, delivering Meals on Wheels and contributing to local projects such as planting flowers every spring at the carousel and planting a flower garden in the city park.
If you’d like to help, the Lions Club has three fundraisers every year: Vikings football books, nut sales and selling ads for the basketball tournaments. New members are welcome. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month, September through May (with a recess in summer). If you’d like to join, contact one of the officers: President: Virgie Wagner, Vice President: Jim Wagner, Secretary/Treasurer: Judy Dixon.
