Snake Creek Dev. Corp. receives $20,000 grant

The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) congratulates Snake Creek Development Corporation, Inc. on their recent South Dakota Fund grant award. The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) awarded the Snake Creek Development Corporation, Inc. with a $20,000 South Dakota Fund grant. Funds will be used to supplement their Revolving Loan Fund Program.
“This SDCF grant will help provide opportunities to support the Faulkton Area, through a Revolving Loan Fund, with growth in our businesses and housing needs”, said Trevor Cramer, Faulkton Area Economic Development Director.
“With the completion of a new housing development and industrial park, this will help position the Faulkton Area to thrive and grow for many years.”
Created in 2006, the Snake Creek Development Corporation, Inc. shares an address, director and mission with the Faulkton Area Economic Development Corporation. One of their initiatives was to start a Revolving Loan Fund to help facilitate new opportunities in the Faulkton area.
“The South Dakota Community Foundation is proud to partner with the Snake Creek Development Corporation, Inc. as they work to support the growth of the Faulkton area,” says Ginger Niemann, SDCF Program Officer.
“Ready capital is a critical and necessary component when trying to expand economic growth.”
