Celebrating our wild beginnings
June 19, 2017
There’s nothing quite like a summer celebration in a small town. People in small towns have a knack for remembering what’s important and for throwing wonderful community-wide festivals.
Faulkton, South Dakota has Wild West Days. This festive annual event draws upon our Western heritage and has been taking place for 29 years. This year, the event coincides with an All School Reunion. It starts Friday, June 30 and runs through July 4 with a full slate of fun activities for the whole family.
In store for 2017: music and theatre performances as well as a street dance, parade, fireworks, picnic and brat feed. The actively inclined can participate in golf, softball or bean bag tournaments.
See a tentative schedule of events on the city website.
