South Dakota ranks 12th among most charitable states

In honor of Giving Tuesday the website WalletHub released a list of 2016's Most Charitable States.

South Dakota comes out 12th, according to Wallethub.

They compared states based on key metrics ranging from "volunteer rate" to “percentage of income donated” to “percentage of sheltered homeless.”

WalletHub also provides a Charity Calculator to help donors maximize their philanthropic impact.
