Dr. Bartholomew receives award

Kenneth A. Bartholomew, MD, of Fort Pierre, received the South Dakota State Medical Association’s Richard P. Holm, MD, Media Award at the recent SDSMA annual convention. The Media Award recognizes an individual who has helped promote the medical field and medical issues. At right is SDSMA President Robert E. Van Demark, Jr., MD, of Sioux Falls is shown presenting the award to Dr. Bartholomew.

Dr. Bartholomew has been a frequent guest on Dr. Holm’s “On Call With The Prairie Doc” show on public television. He was recently guest lecturer at Grand Rounds at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and continues to teach students from multiple universities, and has recently published his third medical book. Dr. Bartholomew continues to practice full time in Pierre, as well as his weekly outreach clinic in Faulkton the past 25 years.
